United Way of Tillamook County volunteers (from left) Chandra Allen, John Sandusky and Chris McClure get ready to serve up hamburgers and hot dogs July 6 at a fund-raising barbecue in front of the Safeway supermarket in downtown Tillamook. With food and beverages donated by Safeway, the Tillamook County United Way took in more than $414.05 during the afternoon-long the event, according to campaign chair Lisa Phipps.

John Sandusky (right) serves up hot dogs and hamburgers from the grill. Other volunteers who took part in the event were Ron Rush, Father Ray Ferguson, Kathleen Marvin, Shawn Reiersgaard and Phipps.
