Tillamook County United Way Kicks Off Campaign

TILLAMOOK, Oregon, Sept. 21, 2007 – Come visit the Tillamook County United Way at the Sept. 29 Farmers Market and help kick off the 2007 United Way campaign.

United Way member agencies and board members will be at the Farmers Market barbecuing hot dogs and selling them to help raise funds for the annual fundraising campaign. Stop by United Way’s booth between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to learn about the organization and the member agencies that benefit from your donation. And while there, purchase two hot dogs and a soda for only $5. United Way will also raffle off a gift basket generously provided by the Blue Heron. Tickets are $1 and the winner’s name will be drawn at 2 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.

The Farmers Market appearance kicks off the United Way’s 2007 fundraising campaign, which will run the entire month of October. The goal is to raise $100,000 that will then support 18 local non-profit organizations that provides services for families, children, seniors, people in crisis and those that are low in income or disabled.
